True stories of individuals in our LGBT community, set with an artistic backdrop that will make the audience both laugh and cry. We have so many incredible individuals living right here. Many of these individuals have been such an inspiration to so many people.  While it’s impossible to represent our entire community in one show, this is pretty close. It’s got an artistic, edgy, and fresh backdrop with a short documentary, dancing, live music, a drag performance and more. Let us entertain you and lift your spirits in the heart of our Village.

I have shown support for the Pride Parade in Vancouver for years. I feel privileged to have grown up in a city where I can be open about my life. I haven’t been held back as a gay man living here.  Watching  the Parade, I  feel that the  people marching through the streets are instilling stereotypes. I feel that there are people who know little about our LGBT community watching this, and this is not balanced exposure.  Don`t get me wrong, it’s always been a  fun celebration but I wish that it had a more educational element to it.

With a hope to create something to compliment this already great community event, I started writing. I came up with blueprints for a theatrical production show that would tell real stories. It would include the story of a bi-sexual woman for example. What are her challenges today?  This show is not a history lesson as much as it is a representation of different lifestyles that are all around us now. I found a venue in the heart of our community. I’ve  integrated a series of monologues with an artistic, edgy, and fresh backdrop. This show is a platform for a gay, lesbian, trans-person, drag queen, and bi-sexual person to breakdown sexuality stereotypes and gender issues in a fun, family-friendly, entertaining way.

Bruce has been doing stage work  and film most of his adult life. He feels at home when he is on stage or doing something artistic. It soothes his soul.  Bruce has studied acting with some of the best teachers in Vancouver including June Whittaker, Alex Bruhanski, and Mel Tuck.  He was featured in a CBC  documentary where he was  runnning  a marathon to raise  money for Diamond Centre For Living (Friends for Life). He also had an opportunity to work with aclaimed Canadian director Nette Wild on the documentary film Fix The Story of an Addicted City.  Bruce loves to run and be in nature.  He has completed nine marathons to date.
